Slender: The Arrival 10th Anniversary Update Revealed, Releasing October 18th
Blue Isle Studios, the developer behind the horror game Slender: The Arrival, has announced an upcoming 10th Anniversary Update for the game. The update will become available on October 18, 2023, for current-gen consoles; PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, priced at $19.99.
The update will enhance the original game’s visuals, with Blue Isle Studios utilizing Unreal Engine 5 to bring improved detail to shadows, materials, and encounters with the Slender Man.
In addition to the graphical improvements, players will also enjoy a new chapter in the game, exploring a fresh storyline centered around Charlie Matheson’s father facing his worst fears.
The update will also add expanded language options, offering support for English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Russian, and Portuguese.
Alex Tintor, co-founder and lead designer at Blue Isle Studios, expressed the team’s eagerness for the release.
It’s been 10 years since the original launch, and we’ve been waiting for the perfect opportunity to improve and expand upon the game. There are many more Slender Man stories to tell, and we look forward to delivering these experiences.”
Pre-orders for Slender: The Arrival are already open for Xbox Series X|S users, with PlayStation 5 pre-orders set to begin on September 19.

For those who don’t know, Slender: The Arrival is a first-person survival horror video game developed by Blue Isle Studios and published by Midnight City. It was released in 2013 and is an extended reimagining of Slender: The Eight Pages, a popular indie horror game that gained notoriety for its minimalist yet terrifying gameplay.
In Slender: The Arrival, players assume the role of Lauren, a woman searching for her missing friend Kate. The game takes place in a dark and eerie forest and features the iconic antagonist, Slender Man, a tall, faceless figure with tentacle-like appendages.
