Nintendo Reportedly to Launch All-Red Mario Themed Switch OLED

Apparently, Nintendo is gearing up to launch an all-red Nintendo Switch OLED version, which will be commercially named the ‘Nintendo Switch – OLED Model – Mario Red Edition.’ According to a recent report from billbil-kun via Dealabs, Nintendo is planning to release a Mario-inspired Nintendo Switch OLED featuring all-red Joy-Cons, a red Dock, and red Volume Buttons.

Other than the red color, there will be no explicit Mario theming, according to billbil-kun, a reliable source for leaks and data-mined information for years. They have also obtained pictures of this new Red Nintendo Switch OLED Model, but these cannot be shared due to obvious copyright infringement laws.

Further adding to the details, according to the report, the new Red Nintendo Switch OLED will be similar to the classic Neon-Red Nintendo Switch OLED which comes with a black dock. The release date for the Nintendo Switch – OLED Model – Mario Red Edition has not been determined yet, but billbil-kun believes it will be released before October 2023.

However, it is expected that the Nintendo Switch – OLED Model – Mario Red Edition will be announced at the upcoming Nintendo Direct dedicated to Super Mario Bros. Wonder on August 31st, 2023.

Nintendo recently announced this event, which will feature a roughly 15-minute digital presentation showcasing the upcoming Super Mario Bros. Wonder, a classic side-scrolling Mario game set to release on October 20th, 2023. The Nintendo Direct Event for Super Mario Bros. Wonder will start at 7 AM PST / 3 PM BST / 4 PM CEST on August 31st, 2023.
