Exclusive: Motorola Edge 40 Pro Price, Storage and Color Options Leaked for Europe

In December 2021, Motorola announced the world’s first Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 phone, the Motorola Edge X30, in China. The phone went official globally as Motorola Edge 30 Pro in January 2022. In February 2022, the same phone launched in USA as Motorola Edge+ (2022).

A year later, Motorola unveiled the successor of Motorola Edge X30, the Motorola X40, dropping the “Edge” branding for China. Based on the past rebrands, the device is expected to launch globally as Motorola Edge 40 Pro and Motorola Edge+ (2023) in US markets. Various certification authorities also recently certified Motorola Edge 40 Pro, confirming its moniker and imminent launch for global regions.

While Motorola is yet to make any announcement regarding Motorola Edge 40 Pro, we can confirm that the phone will be soon launching in Europe. In addition our sources have shared the price, storage and color options of Motorola Edge 40 Pro for the European markets.

Motorola Edge 40 Pro Price, Storage and Color options for Europe:

Like the Motorola Edge 30 Pro, Motorola will launch the Motorola Edge 40 Pro in single storage option with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, and it will cost EUR 850. The device will be available in two color options: Black and Blue.

Motorola Edge 40 Pro specifications:

Motorola Edge 40 Pro will be a rebranded version of Motorola X40, so we already know the specifications of the phone.

Motorola Edge 40 Pro will use a 6.67-inch 3D Curved OLED display with FHD+ resolution. It will be a 10-bit OLED panel with 165Hz refresh rate and DC dimming support. The panel will be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus.

Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor will power the phone. It will be paired with 12GB LPDDR5 RAM with 256GB UFS 4.0 storage under the hood. To keep the phone cool, it will use a three-dimensional cooling system with 24868.28 mm² of cooling area and 3002 mm² of VC cooling area.

In terms of optic, the phone will feature a 50MP Omnivision OV50A primary sensor with OIS, a 50MP Samsung S5KJN1 sensor for Wide Angle and Macro, and a 12MP Sony IMX663 Telephoto lens. For selfies it will get a massive 60MP sensor from Omnivision.

The phone will be fueled by a 4600mAh. It will support 125W wired charging and 15W wireless charging. For biometrics, the handset will get a optical under display fingerprint scanner. The device will measure 161.2 x 74 x 8.6 mm in dimensions and 199 grams in weight.
