Apple iPhone 15 Series to Have Significant Battery Life Improvements

For a long time, battery life was one of Apple‘s weak points. Coupled with slower charging speeds than its competitors, this was a major turnoff for many potential buyers. However, since the introduction of the iPhone 13 series, Apple has consistently improved its battery life.

This trend continued with the iPhone 14 series, which featured some of the most efficient and longest-lasting batteries on the market.

Now, there are reports that Apple is planning to make even more significant improvements to battery life with the iPhone 15 series. The table below shows how Apple’s battery life has improved over the years:

In addition to the larger battery, the iPhone 15 series is also expected to use a new 3nm A17 Bionic chip. This chip is said to be 35% more efficient than the A16 Bionic chip, which could lead to even longer battery life.

Last year, Apple only used the latest A14 Bionic chip on its high-end iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max models. The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus used the A15 Bionic chip, which was introduced in the previous generation.

This differentiation is expected to continue with the iPhone 15 series. The two high-end models, the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, are expected to use the A17 Bionic chip, while the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are expected to use the A16 Bionic chip, but don’t worry about the difference in efficiency, as the 15 Plus will have a battery capacity close to 5,000mAh (finally!)

With a larger battery and a more efficient chip, it is highly unlikely that any other phone on the market will be able to match the battery life of the iPhone 15 series. However, lets not get ahead of ourselves, and wait for the official benchmarks.

Till then, we will make sure to keep you updated on all developments, as new information becomes available.
