iPhone 14 to Include One “Pill Shaped” Notch For Privacy Indication

Long-running rumors claim that the 2022 iPhone models will have two notches on the front of their screens.

According to a recent MacRumors leak that quotes “an unidentified source,” the iPhone’s display would combine the two notches into a single pill-shaped notch. Later, Mark Gurman of Bloomberg backed up the information.

According to MacRumors, Apple plans to disable the pixels in this area between the two notches. This will result in a continuous area of blackness.

The company “intends to visually enlarge the blacked-out areas around the cutouts to host content.”In other words, the iPhone might be using this space for something, adjusting the notch’s size accordingly.

According to 9to5Mac, Apple intends to display the green and orange camera and microphone signals presently housed in this area’s status bar. The privacy indications might become much more evident than they are currently if this were to happen.

Users can touch on the indications to see a list of the apps that have used the microphone or camera. The extendable control bar for the iPhone’s camera app may be moved to the top of the screen rather than rising from the bottom for better accessibility.

Several new iPhone models are scheduled to debut at Apple’s Far Out event, which is just one week away. An auto-focus selfie camera, a new chip, and a price increase are anticipated for the Pro model. New Apple Watches, including a Series 8 model, and potential AirPods Pro line improvements are also expected.
