Tekken 8: Releasing on January 26, 2024, With New Arcade Quest Game Mode and More

At the Gamescom 2023 Opening Night Live, Bandai Namco finally confirmed that Tekken 8 will be released on January 26, 2024, the game will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through Steam. Along with the release date confirmation, a new game mode, Arcade Quest was also unveiled for Tekken 8.

The game’s new trailer also revealed the return of beloved characters to the roster. The trailer also showcases that Tekken 8 will grant players extensive control over character appearances, including color variations and accessory placements.

What Is Arcade Quest Game Mode?

In Arcade Quest, players can create their avatars and embark on a journey within the Tekken universe. By battling opponents in various arcades, players will improve their skills and unlock customization items for their characters and avatars. This mode aims to provide a personalized and engaging experience, mirroring the growth of avatars in the esports realm. Your avatar can be a Tekken world champion in the game.

Battles now take place in destructible stages, providing both visual appeal and strategic options. The new Rage Arts feature, similar to super moves, aims to offer an exciting combat experience for players and observers.

Tekken 8 Pre-Orders Are Live: There Are Three Different Editions You Can Get

The pre-orders for Tekken 8 are live now and will be offered in three editions to suit different preferences and budgets:

The Standard Edition ($69.99) is the basic package, which includes the base game along with an Avatar costume known as the Paul Phoenix Set. You will also receive two Avatar skins named Tetsujin and Mokujin to customize your in-game character’s appearance.

For those looking for a bit more, there’s the Deluxe Edition ($99.99). This edition not only includes the base game but also comes with the Playable Character Year 1 Pass, granting access to new characters throughout the first year. Alongside this, you’ll receive a special Character costume called the Gold Suit Pack, an Avatar skin called Kinjin, and all the add-ons in the standard edition.

The Ultimate Edition ($109.99) is the most comprehensive offering. In addition to the base game and the Playable Character Year 1 Pass, you’ll receive the Character costume Gold Suit Pack and the Avatar costume Classic Tekken Tee Set.

Moreover, you’ll get three distinct Avatar skins: Kazuya, Jun, and Jin. To round out the package, you’ll also have the Kinjin Avatar skin and the Paul Phoenix Set Avatar costume, as well as the Tetsujin and Mokujin Avatar skins for even more customization options.
