Remedy’s Alan Wake 2 Release Date Pushed to October 27th, 2023

Game developer Remedy Entertainment has announced a 10-day delay for the release of Alan Wake 2. Originally planned for October 17th, the game will now launch on October 27th, 2023.

The reason behind the delay, according to Remedy, is the crowded gaming release schedule for October 2023. The month will see the launch of several highly anticipated games, such as Detective Pikachu Returns, Forza Motorsport, Lords of the Fallen, Super Mario Bros. Wonder, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1, Cities Skylines, Alone in the Dark, and Total War: Pharaoh.

An update from the Alan Wake 2 team: we’re moving Alan Wake 2’s launch from October 17 to October 27.

October is an amazing month for game launches and we hope this date shift gives more space for everyone to enjoy their favorite games.

We can’t wait to show you what everyone’s favorite novelist is up to in the Dark Place next week [on Gamescom]. Thanks for your patience!”

Interestingly, this shift places Alan Wake 2’s release closer to Halloween, which complements the game’s theme. The game will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, with a digital-only release. The standard version will be priced at $59.99 / £49.99 / €59.99 for consoles and $49.99 / £39.99 / €49.99 for PC. The Deluxe Edition will cost $79.99 / £64.99 / €79.99 for consoles and $69.99 / £54.99 / €69.99 for PC.

Recently, Ubisoft has also adjusted the release schedule for Assassin’s Creed Mirage, moving it forward by a week from its original announcement.
