Microsoft Announces New Game Additions and Departures for Xbox Game Pass
Microsoft has revealed a list of upcoming game additions as well as titles that will be leaving Xbox Game Pass in August 2023 and beyond.
Everspace 2: A Space Shooter Adventure
Platforms: Cloud, Xbox Series X|S
Will be Available On: 15th August (Today)
Everspace 2 is a fast-paced single-player space shooter that takes players on an adventurous cosmic journey. Maneuver through challenging obstacles to earn valuable loot and advance in the game. The sci-fi landscapes are rich in secrets and puzzles, providing an opportunity to level up, craft items, and acquire better gear as you navigate the perils of space.
Firewatch
Platforms: Cloud, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC
Will be Available On: 17th August
The popular single-player mystery game, Firewatch, is making a return on Xbox Game Pass. Set in the mysterious Wyoming wilderness, players assume the role of a lookout with only a handheld radio as their connection to the outside world. As players make choices while traversing the untamed wilderness, they will impact the emotional bond they share with the voice on the other end of the line.
The Texas Chain Saw Massacre

Will be Available On: 18th August
The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is a third-person asymmetrical horror game inspired by the 1974 film. Players can take on the roles of the notorious Slaughter family members or their victims. The game offers a chilling experience that captures the essence of the original film.
Sea of Stars
Platforms: Cloud, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC
Will be Available On: 29th August
Sea of Stars is a turn-based RPG paying homage to classic games of the genre. The game follows two Children of the Solstice as they use the powers of the sun and moon to combat the monstrous creations of an alchemist known as The Fleshmancer.
Gris
Platforms: Cloud, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC
Will be Available On: 5th September
Gris is an adventure game where players guide a young girl through her personal sorrows, symbolized by her changing dress. As players progress, the dress grants new abilities that help the girl navigate her emotional journey.
Farewell to Some Titles
While new titles are on the horizon, a few familiar names will be leaving the Game Pass on 31st August, including Black Desert, Commandos 3 – HD Remaster, Immortality, Nuclear Throne, Surgeon Simulator 2, and Tinykin.
