Game publisher THQ Nordic has released a teaser for the upcoming ‘official’ game adaptation of the popular comic book miniseries Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin. The teaser unveiled at THQ Nordic’s latest digital showcase does not reveal anything about the game but confirms the news from earlier this year about a game adaptation of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin.

It is now confirmed that the game is in active development by the developer Black Forest Games, known for their games like Titan Quest, Destroy All Humans! 2020 Remaster, the multiplayer component Destroy All Humans! Clone Carnage, and Destroy All Humans! 2. While the release date or release window of the game has not been confirmed yet, it’s been announced that the game is going to be released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Who is the Last Ronin? In a future, battle-ravaged New York City, a lone surviving Turtle embarks on a seemingly hopeless mission seeking justice for the family he lost. The Last Ronin storyline was originally conceived by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird in the 1980s, but it was not fully developed until this comic series. It was highly anticipated by fans due to its unique take on the Turtles’ lore and the mature and gritty tone of the story.

The series was released as a five-issue miniseries and garnered significant attention for its darker and more mature themes compared to previous Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles adaptations. It has been praised for its emotional depth, character development, and exploration of the Turtles’ enduring legacy.

So it’s definitely exciting news for fans of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin comic series. The comic series is also getting a sequel later this year.
