Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart v1.808.0.0 Update Brings Ray-Tracing to AMD GPUs

Nixxes Software has updated Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart PC to version 1.808.0.0.  The update introduces ray-tracing features for compatible AMD GPUs, along with a range of visual enhancements, bug fixes, optimizations, and stability improvements.

Players who are using AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 23.10.23.03 or later can now enjoy enhanced graphics/ray-tracing in Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart on PC. Ray-tracing is known for its ability to simulate realistic lighting, shadows, and reflections, adding a layer of depth and immersion to the in-game environment.

The release notes for version v1.808.0.0 also highlight visual improvements to ray-traced reflections and shadows, further enhancing the overall quality of the graphics. The update also addresses various issues that players have encountered.

Among the resolved issues, the update tackles a crash that had been occurring when the game was played on legacy CPUs. Corrupted text appearing on waypoints in rare cases has also been fixed, ensuring a seamless navigation experience for players. Visual corruption that could arise on UI screens for certain AMD and Intel GPUs has been successfully addressed.

Furthermore, the update corrects visual inconsistencies in rendering modes such as Newsprint and Home Move, which will undoubtedly be a relief for players who prefer these modes. A user-interface bug that caused the armor list to jump back to the top after selecting an armor item has been rectified.

After being released as a PlayStation 5 exclusive back in 2021, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart was finally launched on the PC platform on July 26th, 2023. The game was well-received on the PlayStation 5 by both critics and fans, and it also achieved commercial success.

Nixxes Software, the studio responsible for the PC port of Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, did an excellent job with the game’s port and beautifully adapted it for the PC platform, just as they did with previous acclaimed PlayStation first-party games such as Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered and Spider-Man Miles Morales

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is now available to play on PC and PlayStation 5. You can check if the game is compatible with your PC by going through its system requirements.
