Release Date for the First Pokémon Scarlet & Violet DLC Confirmed
In the latest Pokemon Presents event, The Pokemon Company confirmed the release date for the first-ever DLC pack for Pokémon Scarlet & Violet. The upcoming expansion, titled “The Teal Mask,” is set to release on 13th September 2023.
The announcement also shed light on the second DLC pack for the game, “The Indigo Disk,” expected to arrive in Winter 2023. While no specific date was provided for this release, players can look forward to more information about it in the months ahead.
The event also showcased a new trailer for The Indigo Disk, revealing fresh gameplay and a host of new Pokémons. Among these were the Paradox forms of Raikou and Cobalion. Additionally, an evolution of the Applin species, aptly named Dipplin, was introduced.

One of the standout features of The Indigo Disk is the introduction of a new school setting, complete with an expansive open area featuring diverse biomes. The expansion promises players the chance to explore a rich environment while encountering new challenges and mysteries.
Notably, a new Elite Four will also be part of the experience, adding an extra layer of excitement for competitive players.

In this year’s annual school trip, students from various schools – including you! – will be sent to the land of Kitakami, where people live at the feet of tall, towering mountains and the tranquil landscape is teeming with nature unfamiliar to Paldea, flourishing among rice paddies and apple orchards.
At this time of year, the villages hold festivals, bustling with all kinds of stalls and stands. Make new friends and meet new Pokémon as you unravel the old legends of Kitakami.”
Fans who can’t wait to dive into the new content have the opportunity to pre-order the expansion and receive an exclusive uniform set. The unique uniform will be tailored based on the player’s chosen base game.
As an added bonus for early adopters, those who purchase the expansion before 31st October will be rewarded with a Hisuian Zoroark, an exclusive addition not available in the Paldea region.
Mew and Mewtwo Are Coming to Pokémon Scarlet & Violet
The Pokémon Company also announced the arrival of Mewtwo and Mew in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet. A special raid event is slated to take place from 1st September to 17th September inviting players to join forces and take on formidable challenges. During this event, players will be able to obtain Mew as a mystery gift using the code GETY0URMEW until 18th September 2023.
The Pokémon Company has tantalizingly hinted at a special occurrence if players manage to complete the Mewtwo raid with Mew in their team. Though the specifics of this surprise remain a mystery.
Mewtwo will show up in the game at Level 100, giving players a battle like in previous 7-star tera raids in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet. Lots of players will be happy about Mewtwo joining the raid event, aiming to get the special “The Mightiest Mark” title for winning 7-star raids.
