David Adams, representing Gunfire Games, the developer of Remnant 2, expressed his gratitude to the dedicated fan base, saying,

To everyone who helped us achieve this amazing milestone, thank you for your unwavering support. This was a multi-year journey for us, and we couldn’t be happier to see fans having such a great time with a game we put our heart and soul into.”

Yoon Im, from Gearbox Publishing, shared the team’s elation at the game’s success, stating,

Remnant 2 exceeded our expectations. As a commercial and critical hit, we’re incredibly proud of the Gunfire team and everyone here at Gearbox Publishing who brought this title to life.

We’re incredibly thankful to the Remnant community who supported us and the Gunfire team during development. To the new Remnant fans who joined our community in the past week, we’re thrilled you joined us on this journey.”

To celebrate this monumental achievement, Gearbox Publishing, and Gunfire Games have released an accolades trailer. The trailer showcases the praises and accolades showered upon Remnant 2 from gamers and media alike.

But It Wasn’t All Smooth Sailing

The game encountered some challenges on PC due to heavy reliance on upscaling technologies like Nvidia’s DLSS and AMD’s FSR. As a result, achieving 60 FPS at 4K natively on high-end hardware like Nvidia’s latest GPU, RTX 4090, proved difficult. But as the developers confirmed, the DLSS and FSR significantly improve the game’s performance on the PC platform.

Despite these obstacles, Remnant 2 managed to debut with double the number of players on Steam compared to the first game; Remnant: From the Ashes, indicating strong fan support.

The game’s popularity is expected to continue growing, as three DLCs are planned for the future, offering even more playable content to an already extensive game lasting hundreds of hours. So, it’s safe to assume that the future of Remnant 2 is bright, and fans have much to look forward to.
