The LOLA Foundation was born from the heartfelt vision of sisters Nia and Tina Ancheta Maninang, inspired by their deep desire to help underserved children in the Philippines.
This mission is a tribute to the legacy of their grandparents—an inspiring teacher and a courageous labor leader—whose lives modeled service, resilience, and love for community.
LOLA—which stands for ‘Love for Our Little Angels’ and also means “grandmother” in Tagalog—is a grassroots effort dedicated to helping children in underserved communities.
We provide care packages filled with essentials like school supplies, hygiene items (toothbrushes, soap), ‘tsinelas’ (rubber slippers), and other basic necessities. Each package is hand-delivered to children who need them most— offering not just support, but dignity and hope. In addition to care packages, the LOLA Foundation also runs feeding programs for children and supports medical missions by funding licensed healthcare providers in areas with limited access to care.
